Laura was opening her new architect studio business - exciting times! She couldn’t wait to start, but the words - and the strategy that would underpin those words - felt a little overwhelming. She wanted clients to get a real feel for who she is, what she does and her value. And she wanted the right words on her website to infiltrate all her other marketing practices - including networking.

I created clear, engaging and focused web copy - that positioned Ashworth Architects as an expert in their field while talking on a level her target audience can get on board with (no stuffy architect-speak allowed!). Laura hired me to write Ashworth Architects full website copy - home page, about page, services page, processes page, blog page & portfolio page.

  • • Wireframed web copy - showing the information architecture of each web page (and how the copy flows across it)

    • SEO-tagged web copy within a Word document, written in HTML for easy input into the new website

  • • Clarify service messaging - what’s on offer and to whom

    • Distinguish tone of voice and break away from the norms of stuffy Architect speak

    • Attract and engage an audience of homeowners, developers & commercial clients

    • Convert prospects with a free initial consultation

    • Improve SEO as a secondary goal - as it’s always good to take the opportunity to do so!

  • Laura loves being an architect. But what she doesn’t love? All the stuffy architect speak and preconceived notions around architects. Wanting to break away from that mould, Laura wanted to launch a business that was approachable, friendly and professional - with no confusing jargon for homeowners wanting to get help with their next big project. The biggest challenge of this project was nailing the tone of voice - while ensuring professionalism shone through.

  • A very happy client who felt the tone of voice was spot on. Laura received wireframed copy - and copy packaged up and SEO’d ready to go over to the designer in preparation. The copy will help the designer map out a design that is messaging-informed.
