  • Writing words is one thing, but if I’m gonna bring your website to life, you gotta know I get how websites best work. I’m not talking just the techy bits - but the consumer psychology behind every bit of wording, every call to action, every headline and where it goes. Yep, I am a website strategist as well as a copywriter because when I’m writing for your website, I’m thinking of how your words are going to work - and that means with design, marketing strategy, sales strategy, SEO and the lot.

  • Oooh, that rhymes. If I’m gonna write copy — or content — for you, then I have to know how SEO works. I’m not just talking about the basics, I’m talking about the holistic overall stuff (in other words, how SEO fits in your marketing strategy) but also your techy bits in the background that work so hard. Where your keywords go. What keywords! Meta descriptions, title tags, alt tags. Great quality copy or content that Google will nom nom nom up and spit out to your audience.

  • Sometimes, when I talk about website strategy and SEO, it all sounds a bit dull. But a HUGE part of me is just writing words that humans (your humans, your ideal clients and customers) will love. Storytelling brings your business alive in the minds of the people who matter.

    Being empathetic is a huge part of what I do - I need to feel what’s right for your audience and nurture them towards your goals.

  • Continuing on from above, robotic is just NOT my thing. And while I’m not writing this to bash AI (ChatGPT, you little bleep), and I’m certainly not against it supporting you, as a copywriter I’m VERY big on being very real, very human and savouring the beauty of human authenticity & creativity.

    Don’t get me wrong, AI is good. But it’s still a robot and I’m a human - a human that definitely connects you with your humans.

  • I started off in the wonderful world of marketing - and learnt so much. It was a deep-dive into everything from Google (I even visited their HQ once!) to PR, events & more.

    But all during this time, there was one thing that stood out to me. It was writing! I loved it. And y’know, it’s a bit cringe to say this but I loved the impact my words had on people. What d’ya know? My words worked - and the proof was in the pudding.

I’m a bit of a cliché, really. A lover of cheese, wine (sauv blanc, please), my beautiful bumbling black labrador, family time, books, radio 2, flat whites, voice notes and terrible Netflix shows that are utter trash. A classic extroverted introvert and someone who values time alone with their family… but wants to feel excited by adventure.

I’m also someone’s mummy. It’s incredible but bloody hard sometimes. However, when I do what I do (this right here), I always feel like me. And that’s something I’ve realised is super important since having my little boy..
